I had 110 million chips disappeare in a two hour window between logging out and logging back in. After contacting customer service via e mail, calling them on the phone, I get a response after three days has passed. The resonce: ” because we cannot prove this was a hack your chips will not be restored” I then asked: ” what happened to the chips during that two hour window?”. That question, though asked repeatedly went ignored and unanswered.
Not being a huge conspiritorialist I’d be tempted to think I just got a really bad customer service rep assigned to me. But after googling this subject and finding so many other people this has happened to I decided to dig a bit further. I found a 2009 video of Mark Pincus their founder exclaiming; ” I needed to raise fing revenue now so I did every horrible thing in the book to do so.”. I also found articles describing how he stole ideas from other companies then marketed those companies out of existence.
Where there’s smoke there’s fire. I wonder now if I haven’t run into a company culture that seeks to profit by harming others? My incident by itself is nothing, I should just move on and forget about this awful company, but I hate unethical companies. I feel the call of Network: “I’m mad as hell and I’m not going to take this anymore.” I have complained to the BBB along with about 1600 others, yet they stll have an A rating? Apperantly they need more complaints?
I have also complained to the California Attorney General, this may prove more profitable since theyre not relying on voluntary business membership fees. I’m also going to complain to the FTC. By myself I’m just one guy yelling in the wind. But…..if we all do this together we become an army that cannot be ignored. I encourage the rest of you that this has happened to to follow my path and complain to the same entities.

Hello friend, the same happened with me. My chips were stolen, around 97M..I believe its Zynga who’s hacking into peoples account and taking money and selling it to others..Even the free poker site has more security than Zynga which charges or virtual chips..If Zynga cannot take responsibility then why dont u shut down?

I got my millions of chips ripped off too. But Zynga wouldn’t even let me sign on and refused to reset anything so that I “could” sign on to MY account. I paid for chips, and stupidly, paid $20.00 for an Avatar, as I did not want to be the pipe smoking elephant . This is outright Fraud. I paid out real U.S. currency for a product and have been deprived of my property and it’s use.
I don’t get it how this situation is allowed to continue because it sets a precedent for others to do the same and then we will just have chaos and a complete breakdown of how we conduct business in this country. Oh, Mr. hahah, you probably work for Zynga because a normal person wouldn’t take the time to write your nasty little comment.
the same thing happened to me. the zynga customer assistance team are pure rubbish. they said they looked into it and would give me no answers as to what happened. just said that it could not be proven that my account was hacked and therefore would not restore my million + chips that were stolen. it is very frustrating.
By now everyone using the Zynga poker site should realize the scam that’s being run. Yes they take chips… Yes they cause the program crashes.. Yes the poker program is written to your disadvantage….Yes they are making millions off of their “rigged” products and well placed scripted personnel. No… They don’t care about your complaints… No they are not being investigated in a vigorous manner…No you shouldn’t be continuing to play after learning of this. They only want you to keep buying CHIP PACKAGES by any means available.. Their gain …Your Pain. Just pass the word and when everyone gets tired of having been robbed and raped by the Zynga they will abandon the use of Its products. Demand will decline… Revenue will shrink… Stock value will fall to one penny a share… Mr. Pincus will then hopefully leap from the roof of his highest building with an anchor tied around his balls for speed…
I had 1.7 billion chips which zynga took saying I had violated the terms of service. I know without doubt I never violated terms of service, and when asked for them to prove to me exactly how I supposedly violated there terms of service I was informed they did not have to provide proof. So I said you can just take 1.7 billion chips from me without any reason and they informed me that those chips were not mine, that just because they were in my account that they did not belong to me they belonged to zynga and that they did not have to provide me with a reason for my chips being taken from me. I am completely blown away. I have been an avid zynga poker player since early 2009, I have spent many hours earning those chips and yes I know they are fake, they don’t represent anything but it is disgusting to me that honest players get their chips taken away when you can report bot after bot, team player after team player and nothing is ever done. After fighting with zynga back and forth through email I had had it and just wanted to be done with them, I know I will never play the game again. I asked them to delete my information off of the zynga servers and I was told that was not possible. Now I am pissed. I went and read the terms of service on facebook and the terms of service on zynga poker and legally they cannot keep my information on the zynga server. I emailed them and copy and pasted where it said they had to remove my information. I had to go through several steps and now they have 21 days to delete my information. By having your information removed you have to agree to lose all of your information off of all zynga games and anything you might have purchased will also be removed. I don’t care. I will never support zynga. I believe them to be a complete scam. I have also filed a complaint with the BBC and will file complaints with the two other entities mentioned above.
Same deal zynga rigz its game and all the glitches screw you for chips. People have lost thousands of dollars to zyngas game…its addicting and strongly do not recommend it to the younger crowd. They are blood sucking leeches.
