This morning at 04:15 30-09-2011 I received an SMS Reading as follow, “Your mobile number has won the sum of R185,000 & a phone in the NOKIA USER PROMO, for claims, contact Daniel Brown now for more info 826476344 Ref 357H”. I did that and this man answered and asked for the Ref no, which I gave to him. He told me to phone back in 5 minutes which I did. I heard a computer typing noise in the back ground while he asked me some questions there was a peep peep peep noise twice in a few seconds then a long peep and my phone was dead.
When I checked my airtime balance it was 0.01 He obviously had some device to remove my airtime. HOW MUCH HAS HE STOLEN TO DATE?????. I am sure he works from a call center. I received an sms this morning saying CONGRATULATIONS! UR NO. WAS CHOOSEN RANDOMLY BY RICA YOU’VE WON R950,000.00 IN THE NOKIA MOBILE PROMO! DIAL*#06# FOR UR SERIAL NO. &CALL 0711067932 REF: NK95ZA. ( I mean how do these people get our numbers, what’s the whole point in registering our sim cards when these scam artists are fooling people just to get money.
This has been the second time I have received an sms regarding a scam.. And the number the sms came from was +27792550957. And they ask u to call another number.. The first time I called and they wanted money to deposit R250 000 into my account. And what’s worse is that they use a big companies name like Nokia so pple actually get so thrilled and carried away that they actually fall for this scam.. And some don’t even realise that the phones their using aint even a nokia.. Please be aware of scam artists..don’t call regarding these sms’s don’t give out any personal information. Just ignore the message and lay a complaint.
I hope that this matter will be rectified soon and that scam artists wil be behind bars for tricking people into giving them money and airtime.

Received an sms on the 30th January 2012 stating that ” Congrats:your cell number is the winner of R 250-000 on nokia 2012 promotion with serialno: nkza0166.Contact o837608243 from 8am to 5pm for your cash prize —-the sms was sent from tel number +27768215747 ——–yes indeed with all the fica redtape bugging honest citizen how come our great police force cannot trace those numbers and arrest those petty,and brain dead crims —-they belong behind bars or in work camps building RDP houses for deserving and non criminal elements in our society —-bust them and give them hard labour!!!!!—maybe they’ll wake up once they have to do an honest day’s work
