i have all Whirlpool appliances purchased when i built my house in 2005/2006.
At the present time 4 of 5 are not functioning .
The side by side refrigerator ice maker stopped about 6 months ago. i purchased the two circuit boards for the ice fill for the bucket and replaced them and the unit worked fine for 1 week. now same issue.I now use plastic cube trays and just dump them in the ice bucket.
The stand alone compact ice machine only worked about 1 year after date of purchase.have done nothing to it to repair.
The double wall oven has an issue with the ribbon cable that goes from the keypad to the main board.have removed board and re inserted ribbon . works sporadically. had to shut power off unit because it would start up on its own. (fire hazard)
The whirlpool dryer has a bad switch on the dryer door which causes you to hold down the start button while
opening the door and closing it until it starts.
We have a cooktop that is funtioning as advertised. It is a Viking.
I purchase Whirlpool because of its reputation for quality at a resonable price. Your reputation is somewhat tarnished in my household. I do not know what type of warranties these appliances have on them but i would think that Whirlpool would be embarrassed at their performance. I am a licensed home inspector and go in many homes and see many different appliances whirlpool included and assumed that they should be carefree for years to come.I do not have issues with my electricity at my house . all other equipment works as designed.I have installed a power analyzer on my home and the circuits to my appliances have clean ac power with no interuptions .( i am a licensed electrician also)
