Recently I found out veterans can receive a 10% discount at Lowes. At checkout when I was getting out my honerable discharge papers the cashier in the next isle yelled over do have picture ID. I said yes. She then said military ID. I said no. She said then you cannot receive discount. She never said policy has been changed to retired and disabled veterans.
I was never told I could receive discount on selected days as is new policy. I feel as a veteran of 12 years I was treated very rudely and disrespectful. How terrible for another cashier to yell over like I’m a piece of garbage. She was very unprofessional with tatoos. She was not polite.
I was a airman and worked my way up to a officer in the military and I can tell you I would not employ such a rude uncaring disrespectful person. After this experience I will be going to home depot and any other home center but not lowes. I’m not complaining about discount, I’m complaining about treatment.
Thanks, Debbie Palcic

I have also had problems with the Lowes Veteran discount. It is a bunch of garb age to lure people into the store and then tell sorry no can do.It is a disservice and a shame. It should not be called a Veterans Discount since it is not offered to all veterans It should be called a discount for only a select few veterans. Lowes has lost a customer just because of the way they treated a veeteran.
I’m a vet getting a disability. I had exactly the same problem. I will never shop there again.
