Upgrade Problems with Vodashop Cell Phone Plan

I’m due for an upgrade and went to my nearest Vodashop (6/2/2012). I decided on a deal and asked if they have stock. They assured me that they do and we proceeded with the upgrade. After the deal was done, the person that helped me, went to the back to get my Vodafone Smart Tab 7″ and came back saying the stock hasn’t arrived, but it will be arriving later that day. It is now 15/2/2012 and it still hasn’t arrived. I phoned the branch again and they told me that the whole of SA doesn’t have stock. Then I phoned their Head Office, and they said they definitely DO have stock and gave me another number where I can get them.

I phoned them and they said they have nothing in the country. So I phoned Vodacom in Midrand and asked the receptionist to put me through to complaints. No one answered. SO… How can they bring out a new brochure with new deals & specials, knowing they don’t have stock in the country? That is called false advertising!! Now I feel, they must give me another tablet for the same deal, seeing that NO ONE can tell me when the stock will arrive in South Africa! If they can’t deliver, at least have replacement deals available!! If I don’t get service in 48hrs, I will cancel my 13years with them and go to another service provider.
