We ask for the late date to file our taxes which would have been October 15. Sent in the taxes on Turbo Tax on the 7th. Got our cash card on or around the 15th. Almost ever week received a couple of envelopes that tells you how to add money to your cash card using www turbotaxcard com, nothing else in the mail, nothing else stating that they closed down the card on the 11th of October and you need to go thru the IRS to get the money that was owed to you.
After 3 tries of trying to activate the card, we call them. First we get the run around and then get told that they shut down and we have to go to the IRS and husbad got upset and talked to them and ask for a number to talk to someone high on the food chain. Was told that they would have someone give us a call the next day. Yesterday came and went, no phone calls as promised. No using Turbotax after many years.
Hello, i have not recieved my refund amount or the turbo tax greendot card in the mail. i called the irs to see what had happened. the irs placed a trace on the card that was supposed to be at my address on 07-22-2011. its been one whole month. no money no card at all from the (www turbotaxcard com). the irs sent me a letter with all the trace info on it. the account#- the trace#-EVERYTHING-i called the bank who issued it out, they told me to call the green dot turbotax line at 1-866-963-1620.

It worked fine for me, until I tried to cancel the card. The first time, the operator hassled me about spending all the money on the card before closing the account, but after some convincing I was able to get her to close it out and send a check for the remaining balance. Weeks later I checked the account status on the webpage, to make sure everything was going to plan, and it appeared to still be open. I called them back; the card was never closed and they would be happy to send me a replacement, since I “lost” my card (ie: I cut it into pieces after I thought the account was closed). After another 20 minutes of arguing I received assurance that the account was closed for real this time and I would receive a check in 30 days. Weeks later, again, I just checked my account online; still apparently open. I’m lucky I left more than the 50 dollar minimum in the account, otherwise they might be charging me for the pleasure of having this shoddy service against my will.

I can see a hold for a week but a 60 day hold on my money on an item that I returned is insane. I am done with this company who has no customer service and gives the run around. Hi my name is Jackie on 02/06/2013 turbo tax closed my acount without giving me any reason why and when i called them they told me i had to fax over a copy of my id ss cards and proof of my address i faxed them Everything on 02/07/2012 I’ve been calling them to see how long it would take for them to unblock my acount and they keep telling me they don’t know so for everyone who want that card don’t get it and if u already got one take your money off before they get u
I stupidly signed up for this card in error and called them 5 min later to cancel it. COULD NOT DO IT! After being held on the line for 25 min they told me to call IRS. Got card, money loaded and tried to dump the cash into my checking acct to pay bills. COULD NOT DO IT! Had to put in only $1,000 and come back next day to do the same. Each tiem I was charged $2.50 and then I bought $25 worth of gas and they held $75 for 3 days until the charge came through. Today tried to spend the balance in a restaurant and ….. you guess it….. COULD NOT DO IT!
They don’t want you to use it down to zero balance — they will charge $5.95 a month if your balance is below $50. If you call them AND CAN GET THROUGH they will cancel the card for you and will send you the balance in 35 DAYS!!! This is so they can go over a month and charge you another $5.95!!!! TURBOTAXCARD is a scam and I will never use TURBO TAX again! I spent over $70 to file my tax with them and now they screw me over for all these stupid fees? I’m writing to IRS, Attorney General, BBB, etc. ANGRY!
The same thing happened to me and 4 other people I did txaes for. I was due to recieve my taxes on Feb. & and before I could get my money, they had closed my card. I called them and after hours (up to 45 minutes at the time) of, being put on hold, they told me to send a picture ID and SS card verifying my identity, they would turn the card back on. Ha!! They eventually told me they sent the money back to the IRS. Which was a lie. A week later, I recieved a paper check in the mail from them 20 dollars less than what the IRS sent them.
A friend of mine sent a copy of her ID and SS card to them over a month ago and has not heard from them since. She had been using her card for a couple of days. Day 3 they closed her card and her balance 500+ dollars are out there somewhere she is yet to get her money. I feel like this is a scam and I will be more than happy to join the lawsuit. This is simplty put a scam. I have used Turbo Tax for years but will not use it again.
I have been having tons of issues with the Turbotax card. Was told to fax in my information and within two days it would be “reactived”. Now going on day 4 and still nothing. When I call the phone number on the back of the card and type in my card number it still says “this account is closed” and then if I want to speak with a customer service rep it says “i’m sorry but we are experiencing a high call volume” and to try to call back later. This is absolutely ridiculous. Thankfully I caught my biggest return before the bank sent it back to the IRS. They had me fax the same information (copy of a social security card and a drivers license) and I was told they mailed a paper check on 02/14/2012. I have still not received it but it has only been one day.
Now the people with the Turbotax card are telling me that my information was “not legible”. BS!!! I sent the same information to the bank and they didnt have any problem reading it. This is a mess…
I would love this number. I filed on the 30th of January, and I had recieved a confirmation that day that my card was being sent out and my taxes were accepted a couple hours after I had filed. After 10 days had gone by and my taxes were already deposited onto my card, I had not yet recieved my card so I called the 1800 number directed to me. After staying on hold for 50 minutes they tell me its because my account is under review, and they cannot tell me why. I don’t quite understand what they have to review since the IRS has already approved, and on their website it says if I haven’t gotten it yet I should be concerned. Now it’s been 30 days since I filed and I have not yet recieved my card.. this is such a scam.
I have emails saying “Your card ending in **** can get direct deposits, ect ect..” So, it’s obvious that they have a card assigned to me. Also all Turbotax websites are telling me everything is approved and if I haven’t recieved my card yet to call that 1800 number, but yet everytime I call they say the same thing. Why am I not being contacted if something is under review. It’s as if they are just not sending me my card so that they can keep my money longer. This is very aggervating, please tell me who I can contact about this. Thanks!!
Call 1-877-554-2339 this is the main branch for turbotax.. My card had a hold then I faxed info they requested and they closed my card 3 days before my deposit.. Filed on 2-2-12 and still waiting for IRS to mail me a paper check.. Yet turbotax still get their fees.. BS won’t happen to me next year.. Other numbers: bank-1-866-271-1623
I too have the same problem i received my refund and was using my card fine and oneday they just closed it i call they told me to fax my info(state id signed social proof of address)i did 4 times now !!!! When i call again tbey just told me the same thing to refax my info… this is fostrating if someone knows a number where i can call please let me know or if someone is filing a class suit let me know ill join in
I too never got a card after i filed and was excepted on jan 31 2012, so i never got the card in the mail and i thought it was because i had one through them for last years return and that messed it up cause it had a negative balance of 11 dollars somehow [from monthly charges i assume,so i went to what i thought was the turbo tax site, but come to find out, they are run my a different company this year,last year was green dot,this year intuit has the site,so here i sit with my money on a card i never got since the 15 of Feb.and they never told me why i was never sent one i thought it was lost in the mail but they sent an E mail saying it was right from the start.for me, it was the fact that i didn’t use the old routing numbers from last years card and tried to get a new one issued.so now im going through the verification process to try to have them send the right card .WOW what a mess this has become for me ! i just hope some one in the same boat realizes this mix up and sees the problem before i did.maybe help someone.
I was among all the other mislead consumers that decided to use the TT card, but what a joke!!! I filed my taxes on Feb 2 2012 and decided to have my refund deposited to the TT card. I was then sent an email stating I should receive my card on or before the 12th of Feb.. I failed to receive my card so I called on Mon 2/13 and was assured by cust.srvc that the card was sent out and the rep strongly recommended me not to cancel stating it would probably be in the mail by Wed Feb 15th because the original date I was given thru the “refund tracker” android app. download recommended by TT was ALWAYS wrong so the cst srvc. Rep urged me not to cancel until Wed 2/15 but not to worry it should definately be in the mail within the next few days..after 3 different calls to TT visa cardholder srv and 30+min wait times…I reorded the card on Friday 17th, but now I will have to pay 19.99 for another 2-3 or 5-7 day wait depending on whichever TT rep was correct..
So as of today Feb 21th I still havent received a TT card even though the Irs DD my refund over a week ago..but what’s really sad Im a single parent and recently unemployed due to certain financial circumstances..”BUT I HAVE $$ I CAN’T ACCESS WAITING ON THAT STUPID CARD!!!! SMH!! I’ve ran out of people to help me and my two kids out;(!! Because that card TT never sent that I never got holds our groceries for the month, rent, the parts for our broken vehicle and insurance coverage and reinstated license so ill be able to commute the new job I’ve been looking foward to.. So while to them its a just a system error in there systems…its damaged my lively hood and made this years tax season completely stressful and total ciaos!! Hi, my name is Beverly Royal. I filed my taxes 2/1/2012 thru turbo tax. On 2/13/2012 the IRS released my money to the bank that turbo tax is using. I have yet to receive my green dot card. I called turbo tax card and after 1 1/2 on hold they told me I needed to fax a copy of my DL, SS and proof of my address. I called them a few days later and I have yet to receive anything. They told me it coul be 2 weeks before they can release my card. I am so angry due to MY money just sitting there and I can’t use it. I don’t even know if I will ever get to.
Im a little nervous becuz im arldy on a 5 week delay with my refund and now problems are being reported abt the tt card which of course i opted for. Hopefully its resolved before my refund hits. As far as the fees… I was aware of those. It was clearly stated in the disclosure it asked me to agree to before submitted. I dont think u guys will get much out of a lawsuit regarding “hidden fees” because they were clearly disclosed
Golly guys you are scaring me to death. IRS>GOV says I should get my refund on Feb. 21,2012. And turbotaxcard.com says that the IRS has not deposited refund yet. Today is the 22nd so I called 2 numbers for IRS automated service they too told me feb. 21st. and again turbotaxcard.com tells me IRS has not deposited refund yet.
We are getting a substanial amount back and it horrifies me to think that we wont b getting it. Its a shame that turbotax card has to live off of our hard earned money and earn interest on our monies and not letting us. They are very greedy and want something for nothing. I have had the same problems like everyone else has had. I received my refund via a Turbo Tax card on Feb 7, 2012. And a week later they closed my account. They want me to fax all this information to them and I dont feel comfortable doing that. The IRS already has all the info that they need. My wife and I are having extreme issues with turbo tax also, they have been holding our money for over a month and when we asked for a manager they put us back on hold told us 30 days isn’t a month and just hung up on us. The pending transaction is over a hundred dollars and was not suppose to even be held this is the third time this month they have done this and we don’t know what to do. I called again and now it’s saying our account information is wrong. Some one please help us in the right direction we previously asked them for the main corporate number and they gave us a wrong number.
I am having the same problem with turbotax that have closed my account and asking for me to fax my id,ssn and address. I have call greendot and the bank that they have and the bank gave me a traceing number because they are not suppose to ask for this type of information. They have closed my account for no reason holding all of my money. I would like to join the class action lawsuit against them, because something is not right.
I’m so frustrated. I received my turbo tax card, got it activated no problems. Got my refund deposited. I used the card three times then POOF my card got declined when I tried to pay a mechanic for working on my truck. I called the.1 800 number and faxed over my husbands information (as he if the main card holder) on Monday afternoon 2/27/2012. I called the following day and the wait was over an HOUR AND A HALF just to be told there is nothing they can do and that we need to be patient. I called back on 2/29/2012 and the customer service line has been closed. I definately want to get in on this lawsuit. They are holding over $7000 of our refund.
I had the same issues as everyone else. I did receive my card yesterday, after dealing with the lies told to me by TT reps. I think if you call the TT toll free number too many times, they some how block you. I was even insulted by a rep who told me it was clear to her that I was uneduacated and didn’t understand due to my southern accent. I thought Bancorp could help the situation, however; just like TT, the reps misinform the customer. If anyone knows of an email address or another number to call and complain, I would love to know.

Im having the same issue with turbotax i recived my taxes on my card jan 25, 2010 and 5 days later my card was closed been calling for the whole month of feb still no answer in the meantime contact the irs and request a funds trace, but dont stop calling turbota. and fax over a request to turbotax stating….send your refund back to the irs so they want continue to collect intrest off your money, and fax a request to their bank to for the irs can send your money faster.and i believe their holding people money 60 days but if you dont be persistant they will keep your money and that is not legal.
Count me in!! I got my card and my funds but after making two payments totaling $282 and then finding out that those two payments were never recieved by the companies–I’m pissed!! Let’s rock this!! I want my $$$ back–where ever it is

I am having the same issue IRS put refund on card 2/1/2012- call TTC told them i never recd card- they inform me card was sent to different address and that someone called over the phone to make these changes- also that in a space of 3 days my refund on 7k was withdrawn from ATM’s in Miami- was sent another card and told to fax id info to them been 30 days and still working on it – filed a complaint with BBB – will never do this again

Don’t try and pay any credit cards with the routing and account numbers they provide you. Payment will get rejected and cost you $25, at least in my case. I’m on board with everyone else, never going this route again.
I have never received my turbotax card. I have called several times, I have my state refund on the card, but no card. I called and they charged me $4.95 to have a lost card issued and 3 weeks later nothing and now my federal refund is out there somewhere great, now what do I do? I am so mad I have bills to pay. I need a number to get my money.

I have been using Turbo Tax for five years and always put both my federal and state refunds on my card. I have never had a problem. I still use my card even after I get my refunds.
I have also used it to pay bills and never encountered a problem. I was never charged any extra money for doing so.

DO NOT get Turbotax card. It is horrible! You will get charged every time you try to take cash out. I called them and asked if there was any way that I could get my money out of the card without having to pay a fee, they said “No. I have to pay a fee of at least $2.50″. I could not use the Turbotax card to pay my credit cards online or by phone. I had to go into a bank take out as much cash as I possible, accept the fee and then turn around and put it towards my credit card. It is a huge joke. I am so disappointed. I have learned a valuable lesson. Never put a middle man between you and your money. Best of luck.
I have been waiting since Feb.1 to get my refund from turbotax I also have sent them my proof of information 8 times and still haven’t recieved my refund. Every time I call I have waited for like a hour to talk to someone then I get hung up on. When I ask for the number where I can reach the security office they tell me they don’t have it. I am pissed off so if anyone is filing a lawsuit agaist them let know cause I’m all in. Because I feel like turbotax is using people information to used their tax refund so I think the IRS needs to help us like ASAP.
We are on a complaint website and I dont see anyone stepping forward to do anything! and that is the reason nothing is happening because we need our tax returns but no one is putting the effort to find a lawyer for this class action suit if you are serious lets form together find the best lawyer and get what we worked for all year!!

I have been using turbo tax for years. I have never had an issue, my car payment and insurance come out on time every month I even for a while had my paycheck direct deposited to the card. I am sorry so many people are having issues its sad, good luck to you all.
This process is really scaring me, especially with all these complaints!!! This was my first time using TT and opting for their card!! Never imagined it would be such a process!! I filed on March 21 ! Never got my card!! Got an email saying my card had been returned??? They sent it back out, supposedly, but I have yet to receive it!!! My money was deposited on April 11th but I am unable to access it!! After reading all this, I’m starting to think I will never get my card or my money !!! This is crazy!!! I filed with turbotax this year with my turbotax card from last year. You think if the card was invalid as of 12/12 turbotax would’ve said something when I filed, instead of waiting until the day my refund is supposed to be deposited. Plus the customer service skills are horrible. I’ll e-file or go to H&R Block from know on.
