To, Whomsoever it may Concern. With great disappointment and regret I have to draft this letter in order to bring to your notice, the high level of unprofessional personified by employees at your organisation. I own a vehicle bearing no. MH 02 CB 5784 Polo 1.6 and was purchased on the 5th of April 2011 from Tornado Motors, Volkswagen Mumbai West. After being disappointed by the quality of vehicles and services delivered by other motor companies I had great expectations from your brand and had high regards for the same. Only after purchasing this vehicle have I realised that this brand is no more than just another vehicle selling company.
To start with -
1.This vehicle had a waiting period of 6 months
2.No offers or discounts were provided even after the payment in full without any Loan hassles
3.No accessories as a compensation for the long wait, I even had to pay for the small things as mud flaps and mats?
Now the issue which I feel should be dealt with immediate effect. I was delivered a Registration card for my vehicle with a wrong address printed on it. On asking the Team Leader Sales, Mr. Viral Keniya he said that the difference in address would not matter at all. Now here we are registering a vehicle worth 7 lakhs with the RTO of Mumbai and this gentleman tells me that the correct address is of no concern.
I then insisted him to please return it to the RTO and get it corrected on which he asked me to do it by myself instead – I do not understand which sales deed is completed without completing all the formalities of one. I refused to take the wrong registration card and asked him to change it, on this he said it would take him 2 months to do so – 2 months to get an address corrected from an RTO, that too for a company of this repute is absolutely strange.
And then I just kept waiting for month after month. Every month I used to call Mr. Keniya for the RC Card and he said it would not be done soon and the change of address was in process. This went on till 6 months until such time that I had to call up the showroom everyday and try to get in touch with the manager (who for some reason could never attand a customers call) (very strange for a person at such a position). Eventually I decided to give the vehicle back to the showroom as I was being penalised by the RTO for not having a valid RC card. Moreover I could not even take my vehicle to long distances as I was not given the RC card.
Finally one of the employees informed me that the card had NOT BEEN GIVEN for any correction? So was the Showroom fooling around with me for 6 months? Just the day when I finally decided to send the vehicle back, I got a call saying I had to wait for 2 more days for the RC card and I eventually got One. I was all happy to be a part of the Volkwagen family here in India and had also planned my next purchases from the same stable but now after all this I think I will never even consider such a pain and would definitely NOT RECOMMEND Volkwagen to any of my peers, colleagues and family members.
I am expecting a remuneration in some form ASAP failing which I would be forced to take this consideration on social media so that no other person feels ignored like this again. It is either the entry of Volkwagen in India that is disappointing or the DEALERSHIP to TORNADO MOTORS that has caused such shabby experience
