Hello, My husband and I stopped at the Tillamook, OR, Denny’s restaurant. Since I’m allergic to soy, I asked for the allergen listing of all the foods served. Marie was very nice to give me a Dietary menu. I waited for her to come back and explained I need the allergen listing. Marie was very nice to go and try and find it. After a little while, she came back and apoligized for for taking so long (she found it in the back somewhere). After looking on the list, I found something I could have. The Nachos were suppose to have corn tortillas that are “soy free”. Marie was nice enough to write on our request “NO SOY”. When my food arrived, I looked at it and noticed flour tortillas strips.

I called Marie back and she went back to the cook and found they had run out of corn tortillas so he fried up (in soybean oil) flour tortillas and put them on my plate even though Marie had written “NO SOY” on the list. Marie was nice enough to take the drinks and nachos off the bill, however, I was exposed to the soy and had an allergen attack. Not severe but an attack. I’m requesting that your employees be trained on the severity of allergy alerts. This could have been very serious!

I hate to complain but our breakfast was horrible and at $ 10.00 a order that’s an insult to my wallet. We requested our food to be cooked well meat and hash browns it was like we said nothing and they did nothing but take my money…I will never go back to Denny’s and I’ll BE SURE TO SPREAD THE WORD…what a bummer I used to really love Denny’s.

  2. Missing the old Denny's

While traveling to San Jose CA we stopped for dinner at Denny’s. The place looked like the ceiling could of fallen in at any minute, horrible service, and mediocre food. on our way back home to Oregon we stopped at another Denny’s in Eureka CA. We were one of two tables in the entire place. When we were being seated we overheard the other table complaining about their meal. We ordered 2 plates of Huevos rancheros and one skillet breakfast . Our Huevos ranchero dishes were very cold and the refried beans that came with those dishes was cold and dry. I will Never go to Denny’s again.
