Last week went into Best Buy with my boyfriend. He wanted to have an automatic starter installed in my Jeep for Christmas. When we spoke with the auto bay employee he told us what parts we needed and that to get it installed before winter was almost over (they were supposedly 3 weeks out already on their schedule), that we should buy the parts and when we did that, he would put us in the book. We asked how long it would take and he said 4 hours max.
Well, we went back the next day, bought the parts and he booked us in for 10am (the time they open) the following week, Tues 21 Dec. My boyfriend got there early to make sure he was the first vehicle in the bay, and he was. So, you figure, 4 hours tops, the vehicle would be ready by 2p, 3 if they had any problems. Well not only did they not have any problems, but the tech found that one of the parts we purchased was already in the vehicle and wired. So why at 3p when my boyfriend goes over thinking they should be wrapping up, does he find the tech working on another vehicle, my vehicle all pulled apart?!
Since he was saving us $150.00, a loss to BB, he decided to work on another vehicle. When my boyfriend asked him why, he said he couldn’t only work on my vehicle when there were other vehicles there! I have spent thousands of dollars at BB, installed a $2000.00 system in it, $500.00 speakers, can’t even count what I’ve spent in there over the years furnishing my place with electronics. I will never shop there again! Oh, and when my boyfriend asked for the manager, the manager didn’ t say anything, except, “Well, he’s saving you money”.
Did I mention that it’s Christmas season, I have been without my jeep all day on my only day off to do shopping. As I type this it is 4:15pm and it is still not ready.
