OZThongs Ripping Lots of People Off

I will paste a letter i sent livingsocial which is a daily deal company that i purchased some thongs from through a so called company ozthongs. After sending numerous emails and placing order after order, i now login and i dont even exist??? I have looked up others feedback and there are thousands of people who have been ripped off also…what do I do now?

I HAVE SENT YOU LIVING SOCIAL MESSAGES ABOUT THIS AND ALSO HEARD NOTHING. WHY ARE U AVOIDING THE MATTER. I WILL MAKE THIS PUBLIC IS I DONT GET MY MONEY BACK WITHIN 48 HOURS. THIS IS SERIOUS NOW. I HAVE BEEN RIPPED OFF. BELOW ARE MANY COMMENTS FROM FRUSTRATED CUSTOMERS YOU SHOULD READ AND SOME EVEN STATE THEY GOT REFUNDS FROM YOU ALREADY….

I actually requested a refund, and to my surprise received an email from living social within 24 hrs, simply stating that my refund would be processed within 3-5 days. Very impressed with them and would gladly buy from them again.

My order went through on the 9th August, also pending. Would like to know how people go with getting a reply.

They posted the following on their FB site:

We are not currently taking telephone calls to put those staff on emails and order processing. Pending orders means your order has not shipped yet, some customers may have 4-6 weeks delays in receiving their orders. If you do not want to wait you can always asked for a refund through living social or jump on it directly. We look forward to getting all the orders shipped ASAP. (Direct any questions to sales@ozthongs.com.au) thank you..

I don’t mind about having to wait for my thongs. Because I don’t need them urgently. I just hate being in the dark, not knowing whether or not I’ll actually get them in the end.

Saw that…they also removed a whole bunch of negative comments!! Like you said, I wouldn’t mind waiting but it would help a lot if they were up front from the start, and didn’t treat their customers like fools.

The only thing stopping me from being worried or taking it further is the fact that I used all my Jump On It referral credit to buy this so I didn’t actually lay out any money!

Fair enough then. Otherwise wouldn’t be too hopeful, what with the latest deal that they have launched. How they can possibly do so, when they still haven’t fulfilled previous offers is beyond me.

Maybe they had a deal with Jump On It/Living Social where they agreed (At the start) to run the deal twice…and they couldn’t get out of it?

Still I think it flies in the face of this (from their website) : “OzThongs is a company dedicated to customer service, very fast delivery and the best products at the best prices. We only sell items that are IN STOCK and ready to ship the same day! ”

I also noticed that they seem to have a different website for coupon customers. I can’t log into my “account” through their website, but when I use the link provided by Jump On It I can log in.

mine I ordered in august and now I have been told my order is on hold due to wrong or expired voucher. Have checked my order against the voucher and I did use the right one. Of course no chance of customer service. Now all I can do it try and order again with the same code and risk waiting yet another month to be told the same thing. What a joke. I think that on hold thing must be a way of trying to force us to get a refund from living social.

Err… I don’t think you guys read the email invoice from Ozthongs.
If you read the Shipping Method it says:

LivingSocial / Jumponit – Free ShippingOrders will dispatched from September 19th (2-4 weeks delivery time from this date)

So I’m pretty sure you guys won’t be getting it for another 2 weeks or so

I received an email on 26 August which reads:

…. “OzThongs is currently processing all orders, and your thongs will be on your feet within 6 weeks if you haven’t already received them!

We guarantee that you will receive your order, but we’re asking that you be patient as the volume is quite something! If you haven’t yet placed your order, don’t forget to do so before the end of November.” …..

so should be here in a couple of weeks.

I ordered my fisrt pair 5/8 nearly 2mths ago the 2nd order was the 13/8 emailed left messages never hear anything I know they have alot of orders to fill BUT y did they run the deal again.

    You’re an idiot Kristen. If you bothered to read when you made the deal you will see that it clearly states orders will be dispatched FROM September 19th (2-4 WEEKS DELIVERY TIME FROM THIS DATE!).

    Yes it is a long wait, however this was clearly stated when you purchased the deal. I suggest you stop making childish pathetic statements and threats and suck it up!

    Turns out that OzThongs have cancelled their contract with Living Social, as they can not deliver on the deal they promised to supply.

    Living Social have since sourced Havaianas direct from Brazil, and are offering refunds, Living Social credits or if customers can handle waiting a bit longer, they will deliver Havaianas to us.

    It has been 2 months since I ordered my Havaianas, I have tried to email OzThongs mulitple times, yet only receive automated responses that promise a real reply that is never received.

    This isn’t Living Social’s fault, but the company OzThongs, though Living Social should have investigated OzThongs more thoroughly.

    I for one am going to wait out the storm and see if my Havaianas ever arrive, fingers, toes, arms and legs double crossed for good luck!!!!

    Well if OZ thongs is a website set up just to scam people and living social then they did a bloody good job.

    If they did sell 39,000 of the $24 deals (as they have claimed) and if Living Social have paid them (usually with these deals the “deal” company pays around 50% until the vouchers are all redemmed) then they have made a nice $468,000.

    Pay someone $1500 to set up a website – and the rest is easy. These “deal” companies need to investigate a lot better and why would you not insist on a limit so, that an ligit company could actually fulfill the orders.

    I am getting a bit sick of these “deal” companies thinking they have no responsibilty once they have sold the deal!!

    Als, I think YOU are the idiot – which you should now have realised if you’ve been following this fiasco. Clearly you think everyone else, however, is an idiot for not realising you’re clearly an OzThongs employee, or perhaps Living Social or Jump On It. Best shut you trap next time ;)

    Beware – you will not get your money back if you ordered directly from Ozthongs – I paid through paymate and they have said they tried to get the money back and up to Ozthongs to refund – this is a scam and anyone who has ordered thongs directly through Ozthongs will never see the goods or their money back.

    They have ripped off thousands of people and would now be laughing at how they deceived everyone.

    I am going to phone the ACCC and will also notify the police
