I am writing to ask you to support the real NICK MOMS and DADS. The program NICKMOM aired on NICKR has upset several members of the target audience TODDLERS! On their behalf we are stressing our disagreement for the past X years; NICKJR has been a channel for toddlers that were on 24/7.
I am actually a mom that has a daughter who is sleeping when nick mom airs. However I still feel this show is wrong. It promotes jokes about hating dads and your own kid. Many foul words are used. Our toddler should not hear foul mouthed mothers. For example, using words like; p*nis, f@ck, b#t@h, t@tt$%s, va@&na, as@$, damn and s@x! It is really inappropriate for our children. Yes all those words were heard on the all “preschool” channel. Toddlers everywhere enjoy Nick Jr as a channel they can watch at any time. The two ladies on the show are poor examples for moms. They are not role models to any toddler. This show should be moved from the toddler channel aka NICK JR . It is no longer a 24/7 preschool channel as advertised. This show is a Howard stern for moms or as I like to call it “the desperate moms of Nick Jr. The public is upset and something must be done.
Our purpose of this movement is to move your program to another channel or cancel it altogether.
I think that this is an important situation. It will benefit the community at large by assisting us in our movement. Several parents have formed webpages, petitions, face book events, and even groups. Here are a few links:
