Nickjr is advertised to be a 24/7 preschool network, that is what myself & many others pay extra to have yet it is airing nickmom which starts as early as 4pm in some places.
Nickmom is disgusting, trashy,& vulgar. It has no business being on nickjr. Nickjr is advertised for children under 5- and is one of the only channels available to children.
Why should children be exposed to foul language & sex? Yes that is right this show talks about sexual expericnes and pleasures. It shows sex toys. It uses extreme language such as fuck, bitch, dick, vagina, and others. IT is nasty and if it has to be on tv it needs to be on another channel- there are tons of channels for adults but only one or two for preschoolers.
These women talk about how bad they hate their husband & kids, they talk bad about dads, they talk about children with special needs, they talk about a childs penis, and that is just the tip of the iceburg.
We were not aware of this show until a few nights ago as my daughter was learning a new vocabulary so to speak- it was very shocking and we knew there had to be some sort of mistake… but no she was watching nickjr. Her favorite show had just gone off & nickmom was on.
My daughter loves her show such as the wonder pets, wow wow wubsy, dora, & a few more and she does not understand why she can’t watch them anymore.
And before you start judging -
no my kids do not watch tv 24/7. we do tons of activities with them all day long both indoor and outdoor. But come night time we want to relax with them and enjoy some tv. some kid friendly tv so we can laugh together.
Not all children have the same schedule- kids stay up late for many reasons, kids wake up during the night for many reasons, all kids have a different way of feeling comforted & different things that calm them down… for us when my little ones are sick or cant sleep we watch tv together until they fall back asleep but we can’t do that when a soft porn is on tv instead of cartoons.
and yes I did find nickjr to be very educational so that was the only channel they were allowed to watch.
Not everyone is fortunate enough to have disney jr or sprout. Not everyone has dvr to record. Not every parent has an 8-5 schedule.
I don’t care if nickmom stays on tv I just want it moved to another channel. Real parents who love being a parent will stand up for what is right for the children. Good parents do not sit around and talk trash about their family and talk about how bad they hate being a mother. Most women love their children and husbands and would never make fun of them on television.
I love my children & I want to do what is right for them. No more nickmom, give them their tv time back. It is a toddler channel.
Until nickmom is off of nickjr myself & many many other parents will not be supporting nickelodeon or its supporters in any way. We will not purchase any nickjr toys or food products. we will not support any of the companies who support nickmom such as: general mills, target, johnson & johnson, chrystler, fisher price & lysol.
