My daughter was watching TV tonight and I overheard a commercial that sounded inappropriate for a 10 year old. I went closer and asked her what station she had on. She said it was Nickolodeon. I didn’t really believe her. The ad was for adults for the Adam and Eve adult store. It was racy and cartoon like. It was geared towards the parents and Christmas gifts. VERY Inappropriate. My daughter said it was on the DVR. When it ended I saw that it was NICK and was an new episode of ICarly taped from 1/1/12 and aired 12/31/11. Unbelievable.
I am trying to get addresses, phone numbers etc. for NICK TV. and AT &T Uverse. If we don’t try to do something, this will keep happening. Why would they need to have this as a sponser of a kids show???
My kids love nickelodeon but, they would really like it if they used to show the old cartoons like Hey Arnold, The Wild Thornberrys, Rocket Power, As Told by Ginger, and Chalk Zone. My kids are about the age of 11-13. They really enjoy watching Nickelodeon cartoons even if they’re older than most kids that watch. But they do admit that they like the old old shows better than the new shows. I think if Nickelodeon showed the old cartoons my kids would really watch Nickelodeon more often that they do now. So I hope that they would show the old shows more often for my kids.
