On October 12, 2012 I shopped in store #1618 located at 81 Eighth Avenue in NY NY. I purchased many items including 3 VO5 Extra Body Shampoos that were on sale at .75 each. My Transaction #1885, Cashier 0000098 (MARACEL).
When I arrived home I discovered that I was charged $1.27 each. I used my Extra Care Card when I made my purchases.
My Extra Care Card # is 476-3173-5965-91.
I returned to the store October 13th to have the correction made for refund on the cost of the 3 VO5 Extra Body Shampoos I purchased. I went to the cashier and presented my receipt and requested a refund on the shampoos. MARACEL the cashier said
” HOW DO I KNOW YOU DIDN’T PICK THIS RECEIPT UP OFF THE STREET” I was shocked! She then said “YOU MUST BRING THE ITEMS BACK TO THE STORE FOR THE REFUND OF THE DIFFERENCE YOU WERE CHARGED”. I was still shocked she couldn’t do the refund without the items brought back. I went home brought back the items and a manager XAVIER was there and I explained the issue. He said you shouldn’t have had to bring the items back for proof. I then said , she (MARACEL) owes me an apology! The gall. MARACEL quickly left her cashier position and walked quickly away. XAVIER apologized and refunded me in total for the 3 Shampoos. I thanked him. I AM APPALLED THAT YOUR CASHIERS ARE NOT TRAINED PROPERLY AND MAKE SARCASTIC REMARKS TO YOUR CUSTOMERS (when MARACEL said, I DON’T KNOW IF YOU PICKED THE RECEIPT UP OFF THE STREET”) HOW DARE SHE!!!!! There is something lacking in your hiring and training methods when something like this happens. I have shopped at this location since it opens and Duane Read is a even closer to my home. I am extremely dissatisfied with CVS. I would appreciate your reply. Jobs should be treasured these days MARACEL obviously doesn’t respect nor care about here fortunate position in having one. Maybe she doesn’t deserve one.
