Metro Wireless Promise Not What Was Advertised

Do not get sucked in. Metro has horrible customer service. I just bought a phone a brand new LG connect. It has a problem with the proximity sensor. When making a call it darkens the screeen and locks the phone.When I move my head away from the phone the phone stays dark and remains locked.I can hear phone calls coming in and text msgs but cannot respond. This could last for 2 minutes or 20 minutes. Trying everything to unlock the phone but cant. I would have to pull the battery out or wait until the phone unlocks itself. A phone that costs over $350 and I paid cash for it. I tried to take it back to the place I bought it and guy working there saw the issue and expierenced it for himself. He told me maybe the phone need to get calibrated and get used to the way I make calls? He was able to make two calls without the dark screen after he reset the phone.I told him I would take it home one more day and try. As soon as I left the store went to make a phone call and the phone when black and did the same thing.

I walked right back to the store and the guy was on break. This happens to be a kiosk in GSP Mall in NJ. They have a phone number listed but of you try to call its says the number is disconnected.The guy gave me their new number on a card where he scratched out the old number and wrote in the another number.I wrote him a note and told him the phone is still doing the same thing and that I was not happy with the phone and would try to call him later.

I called him later only to get voicemail. I left a voice msg and explained how the phone had darkend again and I cant live like this. I had to reactivate my old phone.

The next day the guy from the store. Called me and and asked me if I could go into the store. It was 2:00 I was working. I could not. He said you have talk to my boss. I said im working now. He said you have to work around his schedule. I said I do not. I said i do not understand why you would talk to me like that. He said if you want to get a replacement you have to speak to my boss. I said i do not want a replacement anymore I want my money back. He said you cant get your money back its an upgrade. I said what does that mean. He said you upgraded you phone you cant get a refund. You have used the phone for days and you talked on the phone and you will not get a refund no matter what you do.I said to him I do not know why you are talking to me this way but no offense your boss should be calling me. and not you. If I have to go to corporate the I will. He said my boss is corporate. I said ok then let him call me on my old phone cause thats the one that works. He hung up.

His Boss called me and said whats the problem? Very rudely.
I said this phone it darkens the screen. He said the only thing I can do is get you a anothe phone in a couple of days.I said I want a refund.He said you cant have a refund.I said why not because it you have the phone for a couple of days you talked on the phone. I said i will go to a corporate office he said good go to to corporate I do not want to have to deal with this crap.

Metro Promise Not.

IF you are a unhappy new customer they may refund your money. Very doubtful.

If you have been a current customer means treat me badly and dont honor your metro promise.

They do not understand upgrade. I am paying full price for the phone they are winning everyway here. If I had been a new customer. I could have gotten a refund? I think not they would have just played another game.

I should have just gotten a new phone activation to play thier game. Never buy a new phone as a current customer. You will never get a refund for anything including manufacturer defect.

If the phone has a deffect from the manufacturer than they get the phone replaced it costs them nothing.

You have one hour talk time. If you go over They will not refund your money.Thats great so if your phone darkens and locks in a call and you cant hang up the call Then what?

When you call customer service they cannot do anything.You have to play a phone game to get to speak to a live operator.You can talk to a supervisor and they cant do anything either. The most they are good for is a corporate store location.Really that is about it.

Do not think that corporate store location means anything because it doesnt. Basically it means service center to get your phone repaired or replaced. No refunds. They dont answer the phone either.

METRO PCS has nothing to do with its stores. It doesnt matter that they may be an authorized dealer with the metro pcs sign, logo advertising documentation. They do not care how the stores act treat or conduct business.
