I purchased a 2 bottle deal of HCG for $79 on nov 20/11-order received was not as advertised. I expected two bottles containing 120 capsules of HCG and this is not what was received. Ad was misleading! They had the official website link on the ad and it showed a bottle containing 120 capsules (this is the only size being sold online). The worst customer service I have ever received. I got no response to two emails sent on of Dec.09 and dec 15/11.

i absolutely hate living social and their customer service department. their deals are very misleading and fool people. i had bought a cleaning service and scheduled and appointment to clean my house the day before i had a christmas party. at the last minute they canceled on me so i called living social to get a refund. they would NOT refund my money! i even talked to the manager and she was like whatever…cant do anything. i will never buy another deal from them again….groupon is by far better.

I alson purchased five vourchers from LivingDeal for service from MDL Cleaning who couldn’t be reached by phone, and did not answe mail. Now phone is unavailable.

LivingDeal refuse to refund my money (almost $200), and offer only a credit with their company – one that I prefer never to do business with again.

Beware that their 30 day money back guarantee is just that even if you purchased a voucher that doesn’t expire for a year.

Yet another deal that sounded great at the time and turned out to be almost a scam to which living social customer service basically said we don’t care…you’ve already paid. Warning to people if they purchased a LIVINGSOCIAL “DEAL” for NYSTATE LIMO transportation to airport from Manhattan back in Jan. 2013 thinking they were getting a “great” deal well it turns out you are not. here’s why:

If you paid the $29 for a one-way transportation from Manhattan to Newark Airport BEWARE: although the fine print DOES state that it does not include Tolls, taxes or Gratuity it DOESN’T tell you that what you will be charged for those three extras is not normal. The company will charge you another mandatory $42 to be able to use your $29 living social voucher that you thought was such an awesome deal. When I called to ask about the Toll charge of $18.95 for a one-way ride to Newark airport from Manhattan (which would normally be just max a turnpike charge of about $2.50) they state that they are charging you $13 for the lincoln tunnel although there is no toll charge for lincoln tunnel on the way out of manhattan, and the way back is just $13 when you won’t even be in the car) and they will charge you BOTH ways of the turnpike charges because that’s the route they choose to take. So what should be just a few dollars in tolls is actually going to be $18.85.

Second: Taxes: NY tax is normally 8.75 % but it turns out this company is going to charge you 11%….why? …because they will charge you not one tax but two (not even sure if that is legal) so you will be charged for taxes in BOTH states NY+NJ.

Thirdly: Gratuity: This is in the fine print of the living social “deal” I regrettably purchased. What it doesn’t mention is that the car company is charging a MANDATORY 20% gratuity, isn’t tipping supposed to be at the discretion of the customer AFTER a service? well not with NYSTATE LIMO and this livingsocial “deal”.
So when you thought you were doing a great thing by buying a livingsocial transportation coupon for this company at $29, beware it will actually end up costing you another $42.62, at that price it is hardly a deal, you could have just taken a yellow cab instead the total will actually cost you $71.62. Don’t be fooled.
Livingsocial would not refund my money after I made them aware of the company’s mandatory extra charges, and the company explained why all of the three charges above are what they are just the way I explained them above. I now am obliged to use this “deal” although I will pay more to use it than what the “deal” actually cost. I hope at least that the service is good.
