I remember it was frowned upon to have sex at such a young age but even Disney seems to impose it on children! I thought I was protecting my children and filtering what they watch by enforcing Disney but my family was sitting down last night watching “Hocus Pocus” and they were making fun of a teen for being a virgin! My children couldn’t understand why he was being made fun of and the term “virgin” was brought up several times…. So my kids started saying “mommy what’s a virgin? I don’t want to be a virgin because people will laugh at me!”.
I can’t believe I thought I was protecting my children by basing their television time on Disney! Shame on you for introducing our children to the pressures of premarital sex! TV shows like Hocus Pocus should not make fun of kids for being a virgin, this is a lifestyle choice people should be able to make for themselves without a television show deciding for them. I won’t be letting my children watch the Disney channel anytime soon until Disney cleans up their act and the trash that they are showing online to my children.

Oh please! Hocus Pocus came out when I was like 3-4 and I remember watching it for many years with my family! The entire film is based on Shakespeare’s poem, in a modern version. Get over yourself, it’s just a movie! It’s been around since I was really little, and I’m in my 20′s! And I actually enjoyed it!
