I purchased 2 Grip Watches through the Groupon offer on 16th November for Christmas presents for my neice and nephew. Firstly the site would not accept my code, as they were having problems and not all codes had been activated. Once this issue was resolved I completed the order. I was notifed the watches would take “up to 3 weeks” to arrive. I have tried to contact the company on 4 occasions now with no response. Also there is no contct phone number on the Grip Watch site so I don’t know what has happened to my purchase. I don’t know what to do and would appreciate some assistance please.

My friend and I are having the same problem, although she received 2 of the 4 watches she ordered. I have e-mailed Groupon and haven’t heard anything back from them either.
I received 2 watches neither of them are working and no idea how to change the time, wind them up etc. Have emailed gripwatch 4 times and just receive automated response. Have emailed Groupon and they say email gripwatch. Really disappointed and fed up with this. Cannot find a telephone number anywhere for them.
I’ve had the same problem trying to get in touch – couldn’t use the code as they hadn’t sorted it out in time before it expired and haven’t been able to get a response from either groupon or gripwatch. Very disappointed and will think twice before using Groupon again
In also ordered 2 watches on 16 November and have not received them. I’ve tried emailing but just get a standard immediate response email. They say if you have any further queries please don’t hesitate to contact them, but how when you can only email and get a standard response!!
HI, the same problem happened to me and i have bee charged twice.once the full price and second time the £12.50. I sent emails and I dont seem to get any response, and i am very disapointed and i dont thinkl i will be using groupon again…
I had same issues myself, birthdays come and gone, the watches arrived today and also thought they were not functional, you have to peel the strap from around the face, its quite straight forward. I wont be using groupon again after this experience to! Merry Christmas
Having a slightly different problem but I am getting frustrated at the LACK OF CONTACT INFO. Keep getting ‘rebound emails’ from them and despite them encouraging me to ‘not hesitate to contact them’ it is the lack of personalised response that is frustrating me. Has anyone found any better contact details? These were Christmas presents and way too late now. As many of you have said, it had put me off using Groupon again too.
Also had the same probs, contacted groupon for a refund but they said it was over 7 days so nothing they could do! Had an email from grip today saying the kids watches will be in this week and have offered me free postage and a free adults for the incontinence, will wait and see! I’ve found the problem with all groupon deals is that they make the supplier sign up to a silly deal and they can’t cope with the orders they receive, I did a fish pedicure one and the girl signed up to a £16 deal and groupon changed it to £8 and there was nothing she could do and she ended up with 500 deals and lost shed loads of money! but as we love a bargain we will all do it again! Happy new year.
Same problem, ordered in Novemeber got repsonse saying they woould be 3 weeks when emailed again was told they were dispatched on the 20th December and they still haven’t arrived.
Not sure if this company is a con but I will be looking at reporting them to Trading Standards along with groupon if the matter is not resolved.
I have had a similar experience. Ordered two watches in November as Christmas presents and they didn’t arrive. I sent emails to gripwatch who did reply, each time assuring me my watches were in the post and should arrive soon. After four or five similar emails, and still no watches, I was advised that no other complaints had been made of this matter and that my watches had been posted so the problem was with royal mail. (After seeing all these posts though, it would seem unlikely royal mail were having problems with all of us!) I contacted groupon but have received no reply. I too, was thinking about contacting trading standards and will certainly not use groupon again.
Have contacted groupon regarding this and they informed me they’ve contacted gripwatch and the watches should be here soon. (I find this hard to believe!) They also advise me to give gripwatch a further ten days to honour this before taking it further! Having already given them 10 weeks to honour this, I find this quite unbelievable! No mention from groupon of receiving my money back.
I have the same problems – numerous emails, the promise of watches being dispatched, no watches arriving. Recently I sent a further 3 emails and have had no reply.
I too shall be writing to trading standards. I also feel Groupon should be more helpful in getting our money back. This is all turning sour. Doesnt bode well for Groupon.
Gripwatch is an absolute appalling company, I would advise everyone to stay well clear of them!!!
I ordered a Manchester Untied watch from them for my partner for Valentine’s day. Firstly it arrives late as it took over 3 weeks to get here, the watch arrived faulty so I got in touch with Gripwatch via e-mail (as they don’t have a phone number) to ask for a replacement, they got back in touch straight away telling me the address to return it to saying that they would send out a replacement straight away.
I send the watch back to them first class – recorded delivery – Now 1 month later I am still without a watch, even though I have paid the full amount for the watch. I have sent numerous e-mails & they haven’t replied once!!!
I think this is appalling.
I have recently been in touch with Groupon & they have issued me a full refund & have been very helpful with this matter. I would suggest anyone having similar issues with Gripwatch to get in touch with Groupon.
