I purchased the above from a recent promotion on Groupon. The heads were advertised as ‘Braun’ toothbrush heads which at the very least would in my mind mean they are toothbrush heads for Braun toothbushes.
The heads do not properly fit any of the Braun tothbrushes we have – they have to be really forced onto the toothbrush so hard that they cannot ehn be easily removed without breaking the new head – I removed one and the inside of the toothbrush head remained on the metal toothbrush and the outer part of the brush came off.
These are in my mind inferior quality toothbrush heads – nothing like original Oral B heads for Braun toothbrushes, do not fit (or fit so tightkly they cannot be removed without separating) and I just wish the product had been tested first.
Please advise how I arrange for a refund

One Customer Review of Groupon Complaint: Missold toothbrush heads – ‘Braun’ toothbrush heads

  1. Philip

The same is the case with the supposedly Sonicare compatible tooth brush heads.

I purchased “Sonicare Tooth Brush Heads” on Groupon. The heads were advertised as being compatible with several models. Instead they do not fit any models and based on the method and quality of manufacture it is clear that none of them will be compatible. The heads do not properly fit. In addition the overall quality is much lower than one expect based on photos, description, and any product on the market.

I am not in the habit to check sealed products like tooth brush heads as soon as I buy them and instead relied on Groupons not to sell products that are different from their description and defective. As soon as I tried the brush heads I contacted Groupon and got this baffling reply:

“I’m very sorry for the trouble. All Groupon Goods must be returned within 14 days of the shipment’s arrival. For more details on the Groupon Goods return policy, please visit http://www.groupon.com/pages/goods-faq#4, or click the “See return policy” link in the Fine Print for this deal. Unfortunately, if it has been more than 14 days since you received the item, then returns will not be accepted. I apologize for the inconvenience. If you have any further questions, please let me know. Regards, Sanjay S. Groupon Customer Support”

Groupon considers it’s short 14-day return policy to be a the time-frame of the warranty. I can only assume at this point that this whole sale is made in bad faith and that thousands of people received this treatment from Groupon. This is a terrible business practice and probably an indication of class action law suits to come.

To summarize: Groupon sells products as compatible. These products are defective. They refuse to replace defective products and hide behind their 14-day return policy, claiming it is synonymous with their warranty period.
