On September 17, 2012 at approxmately 10:00 am we stopped at the Burger King store in Edmore, Michigan for a rest stop and a Burger King breakfast sandwich. My wife tripped on the curb and fell literally face first onto the concrete, resulting in facial lacerations in the area around her right eye, causing that caused swelling, bruising and bleeding. She went promptly into the bath room to get paper towels to place on her right eye.
I went promptily to the service area of Burger King and asked for a female employee to take a towel with her and do what she could do to assist my wife, which she promptly did. I asked another employee to quickly clean up the trail of blood so that other entering customers would not see what had happened.
A patron there also called 911, and I talked to 911 and explained the situation as I saw it. We opted to cancel the 911
and 911 agreed, with the understanding to call back if we needed further assistance. I gave the employees there my cell phone number and my
home phone number as well. The employees there gave my wife a ziplock bacg of ice to help the swelling, and it worked to not only stop the
bleeding but it did help to slow the swelling.
Now, the only reason we declined the 911 assistance, was that we were on the way to Midland to be with her sister for a scheduled breast cancer
surgury at 11:30 am, and my wife being who she is, felt it more important to give her support to her sister who had never had surgury for anything
before, of any kind.
Now my complaint. Turns out this is a non-working number at the
Pontiac Power Train Headquarters Campus. So much for Susan Powell. Incidentally, I still have this phone number on my phone’s voice mail, and
I just now re-called to double and triple check, just to verify what I got from the phone message.
P.S. I read some of the complaints on this web page, and they are all a bunch of crap ! We’ve been going to Burger King for years and never had any
complaints regards food, quality thereof, cleanliness or service. Or maybe we’ve been spoiled by accidentally choosing the good Burger Kings ! If we
don’t get food we lean heavily on the “SENIOR’S COFFEE”.
