More than a complaint, this is a comment/ request that I can imagine will go unnoticed. I have noticed that my 8 years old son has picked a lot of bad words as of late. He has a developmental delay and a speech impediment so it is very difficult to make him talk or answer what you may be asking as it is, so it took me by surprise to hear this new vocabulary of his. Having noticed these bad words I have been keeping a closer eye on whom he deals with and where this may be coming from. I was taken aback when I found the source were actually Disney channel sitcoms. I sat with him for a few days watching the only thing he has an interest for nowadays, (Wizards, Good luck Charlie, Jesse, and others), and found that the young actors in character repeatedly use bad words and disrespectful attitudes against each other or their elders. I understand that the words are mild compared to other things that can be said and that he will undoubtedly eventually hear elsewhere, but would there be any way to lessen the degree of repetition of these?Just a concerned father that would prefer to have myyoung children not hear nor use this language for as long as possible.
