I saw some pans at the Dedar Hills Walmart store above us that I wanted, but they only had the display left and couldn’t sell that to me. They said there were some over at the Orem store so I drove over there.
I found the pans quickly and put them in my basket but when I got to the checkout there was a line with full carts so I picked up a magazine to pass the time. I looked at all the pictures before I got up to the cashier and decided that I didn’t want the mag. so just stuck it in the cart cause I was next in line and didn’t want to hold anyone up by taking it back.
Many times by the time I have walked around the store and get to the checkout I have something in the cart I don’t want and the cashier just puts it in a box and they are always fine with it.
This cashier looked at me accusingly and asked if I wanted anything else (like I would steal a mag) and I said, “Oh, I forgot, I decided not to take this mag.” Then she said, “Well, where did you get it?” – like you would to a little kid and I was stunned.. She took the mag from my hand and pointedly walked past me and a whole line of customers and took it back to its spot!!! I was mad enough to nail her but then I decided she was rude and I didn’t need to act as stupid as she did and said nothing.
I have had too many instances of Latins treating me rudely and I am sick of their attitude and chip on their shoulder and getting away with it.
