On or about July 6,2011 we rented a car from Leavenworth, KS Enterprise Car Rental. Ref. # 9XK6MZ. The first car they tried to give us had a worn tire on the lft. front drivers side with the metal radial exposed. We refused to take this car because, of the deffective tire. (Understand we could of had a blow out and had major damage to the car but, also the safety of my wife and me above everything else.
Next we were given another car and it seem to have had trouble shifting itself while getting up speed. It was an automatic. We tried to make sure that as a rental car person we took great car of the vehicle. But, did notice the slow shifting process as we put the vehicle in drive. We did returned in great shape while trying to master the shifting mechnical problem.
We have tried to use your company all the time. But, felt our safety could of been an issue in these two cars. Please make sure that when a person is given a car, your representatives make sure the tires are a okay; and that the vehicles are operational with no questions.
We thought Enterprize was a great company to rent a car. Maybe we should reevaluate our thinking?
