Sub: Complaint against Alcon Hyundai, Porvorim, Panaji –Goa.
I may like to bring to your kind notice that I had purchased Hyundai I-10 car bearing Reg. No. GA 04/ C 1760 from authorized dealer M/s ALCON Hyundai, Porvorim, Panaji-Goa in the year August 2009.
Since then I have serviced my car (i.e. All Free service as well as pay service till January 2012) in Alcon Hyundai itself. I have not taken my car to any other dealer or any private service station other than Alcon Hyundai.
From the beginning itself I was facing continuous problem of Door locking as well as remote locking. This problem was brought to the notice of the service engineers as well as Service in charge ‘Mr. Kiran.’ During every servicing I had lodged complaint against this problem. Once Doors got locked in Belgaum, Karnataka which is around 120 kms from our place. This was almost the third time my car doors got locked. During that time I called up Alcon’s engineers and told them to take this matter very seriously. Anyhow I managed to unlock the vehicle and as soon as I returned back, I took the car directly to the service station where they did some minor repairs and handed me my car. This time I had arguments with the service in charge Mr. Kiran & asked him why they have just serviced the unit instead of changing it if it is creating such great problem .I even told him that I won’t tolerate if the same problem occurred again. After this till today I faced the same problem almost ten times. Sometimes formal complaint was registered and sometimes the unit was just serviced or repaired by the Alcon’s technicians just on my request. During my formal complaint they were just continuing the same procedure. None of the Technician or the service engineers were coming with a proper solution for this door locking problem. Since I was facing the problem from beginning itself it was necessary to change that unit before the car warrantee ends. But none of the Alcon Hyundai’s employees took trouble of reaching a feasible decision.
Now, around 10-12 days back I again faced the same problem. This time I was very serious and was really fed up with my car. I again went to the service station with an intension that they will help me out. But this time I was really surprised with their approach. Since I was very serious this time I directly met the Service Manager ‘Mr. Benjamin’ who sends a service engineer to look at the problem. After examining the car he told me that the part named Door Activator or so has to be replaced and that also with my cost.
I really don’t understand how I am liable to pay for that particular part which was giving me problem from beginning itself. This is actually a mistake on part of Alcon Hyundai as they have not gone seriously against this problem.
Since I was not happy with their reply I kept my vehicle in the service station itself and registered a complaint with Hyundai Customer Care and explained them on phone about my problem. They promised me that they will come back to me within 24 hrs but no one called me up to give me the solution.
Till today I called Hyundai Customer care around 3-4 times but no one replied me. I even told them that my car is still lying in the service station from 10-12 days back. No one is showing interest to solve the matter.
Thus I hope that at least this time I may expect a good decision from you.
