Back ground. Mini’s seem ti be sensitive, but bought because of the warranty that should cover anything for three years or 36k. Recently moved ti Vegas, summer, it’s hot, work in less then safe environment/area if town I’m a social worker were often in less then safe areas. Summer heat went up, thought I’d check on my Mini’s coolant. Don’t want overheat in or around the area where I work. Coolant is low and dark. Called dealer said to bring it in need a flush.
Bring in and accused of coolant tampering, usIng non Mini coolant. No, and I repeat no, never did anything to coolant. If I drove till overheated work would be covered by warranty. But since not on there scheduled maintenance I get to pay almost 200 for the flush, and nothing wrong was found so it will likely happen again. Time to trade it in I think. Ridiculous! Stupid! They owe me an apology for blaming me for the coolant Problem.
