After my 12 year old daughter kept going on about having a blackberry, I finally gave in and got one for her 12th birthday! She was delighted! My complaint is of not about the phone itself but about the BBM. Any parents worst nightmare is that their child is at some form of abuse. She was groomed, on BBM!!!! when he was rumbled, he delted her as a contact and to which all of the chats were gone! Which means we had no evidence! Blackberry u need to have a way that the converastion stays on the phone that has not deleted it.
There is a serious risk to our children as he also asked my daughter to broadcast his pin, meaning all of her friends could add him, and anyone with children of this age know they just add people to get more contacts. My daughter was 24 hours away from something I could never want to imagine, please, check your kids phones and blackberry…if you are reading this I erge u to reply, as the world will know exactly how UNSAFE this messenger is for children, in fact it helps them abusers by getting rid of the eveidence! I am sick to my stomach!
