I’m struggling now for the past few days to have a simple data usage limitation placed on my laptop. First I went to Vodacom, Retailpark, East london, to have this sorted out, but I’ve got told that they are unable to assist me and I should phone customer care on 0821946. The next day I phoned the number provided, waiting for about 20 minutes, have to listen to the most terrible music, before I was attended by a consultant. This consultant told me that I must phone 0852111 as they do not deal with limitations. I phone this number, where I was promised that a document will be fax to me. I’m still waiting after two days. My question is: With thousands of Vodacom shops rirgt through SA, why can services of this nature not be dealt with at vodacom shops?
My phone was suspended without me having done anything wrong. When I looked into the matter, they said I need to have prove that Vodacom did not deduct any payment from my bank account. I then went to the bank to fetch the proof (bank statements) and handed it in to Vodacom. They faxed it through, promising that they will deduct the penalty payment and have my phone up and running within 24 hours. It is now almost 36 hours, and still nothing has happened. I am very upset, as this is so inconvenient and takes up unecessary time and money!
Now it seems that I will have to go to the Vodacom outlet once again (3rd time) to let them look into the matter …. and all along I have done nothing to have all this inconvenience! Who is going to pay for the bank statements, petrol and time I have wasted in this matter? Someone made a bad mistake and I am paying for it! NOT GOOD ENOUGH!
I allredy had for 8 years,all and all n made the secuity payment in 3 payment starting in the begining of 2011,was warned that I will be in a rehab status and refunded the secuiruty deposit,if no default payment accures the deposit would be refunded,and so I agread upon it.Not long after that I was informed that my number was lost in the prosses and would not be activated again…..isn’t that one of reasons why I paid that deposit??????? after all months has past and no deposit was refunded and Vodacom Accounts department can’t recall any secuirity deposit that I’ve paid in faith that it would be refunded.
Clearly this is bad customer service and not anny where close the standerds that Vodacom want to give their clients.
