I recently received a gift from Groupon for a special that was running by company called Utopia in East London. The special was for a hair wash/treatment/cut/blowdry/full set of gell nails and a spray tan. Needless to say, the hairdressor thinned my hair out so much that it no looks like rats-tails, this after me telling her that I was growing it for a very specific reason, the nails are already off after only 10 days and the tan was completely blotchy. I did not feel welcome at all in the salon, the truth be told, I felt as if because it was a special, I was not treated the same as if I had paid the full price.
I am terribly dissappointed with the whole experience, and would NEVER EVER use them or Groupon again. Also, I bought a daily deal for teeth whitening in December 2011 – the rooms were smelly and damp – the beautician who explained she was not a dentist fitted my mouth with a very uncomfortable Jaw opening device and painted my teeth with gel and then put laser device in front of my mouth – for 20 minutes 3 times in this session at the end of the 1 hour treatment I could see absolutely no difference in the whitening of my teeth.
I decided 3 weeks later to go back to the salon to complain but the company have closed down and vanished. They were only open 3 weeks prior to my appointment. I feel that I have been cheated by taking out this groupon deal with a dodgy scam with them.
