I received a phone call from a Mr Ben Washington saying he was with Winners International telephone 1(876)295-4973 and that I had been selected to receive a certified check for $2,500,000 AND a new Mercedes car. I had not entered any contest or lottery and knew of no reason for my selection and told him so.
However Mr Washington persisted that he had to deliver the car and the check and there would be a delivery fee of $450 for the car and $500 handling fee for the certified check. I advised Mr Washington that i would not send him any money in advance. “No problem” said Mr Washington “just go to Walmart and buy Green Dot MoneyPak cards and hand them over on deivery.”
Later Mr Washington asked for the details on the receipts for the cards INCLUDING the ACTIVATION NUMBERS printed on the receipts. I had checked with Green Dot that ,with the activation numbers, cash could be withdrawn from the cards and was advised never to reveal the numbers.
I advised Mr Washington that I could not give him the activation numbers and was then subjected to heavy pressure to reveal the activation numbers and as a result the delivery of the certified check and the car will not take place. I notice that the certified check, the car,the name Washington and the requested use of Green Dot cards appear in other on line complaints
